Our Story

From the farmlands
of India, to you.

For kitchens with personality. Real ingredients, zero drama.
The Problem

Mexico has tabasco. Korea has gochujang. India had nothing.

For years, "gourmet" in India meant someone else's ingredient, someone else's story; imported, beige, sitting stiff on a shelf, acting fancy, saying nothing. Every jar of olives, every bottle of pepper, looked frozen in the '90s.

Meanwhile, capers with attitude, chillies with a whole personality, umami we hadn't even begun to explore sat right here, growing quietly down the road from us, waiting for someone to bother.

We noticed and did something about it.
And So We Created

With the mission to give India's own flavours an identity worth being proud of.

The Name

She wears chaos like armour.

Kali Miri is named in reverence of Kali Maa, the goddess who wears chaos like armour and tenderness like a crown. She is not gentle power. She is raw, transformative, and wildly herself.

The brand inherits that duality: savage and essential, briny and sharp, fierce and unapologetic. Same as what's in the jar, it doesn't ask permission before it hits your tongue.

Open the jar and taste it immediately: briny, sharp, and loud enough to turn a fried egg into the best thing you have eaten all week.

The Ingredient Story

We spent way too long finding the good stuff.

Not in a "we scoured the earth" kind of way, more like a lot of long drives, a lot of "no, not that one, the other farm," and a lot of texting each other pictures of capers at 11pm.

We just didn't want to settle for whatever showed up first. So we found the pepper that still tastes like something, the salt that's actually just salt, the capers that pop instead of just sitting there. Pristine because someone bothered to check, not because it says so on the label.

Now, It's On Your Table

Shop the mission.

Host loud. Cook a little reckless. Put something unapologetically yours on the table.
